This booking agreement is adhered to under English Law.
Cancellations
In the event of cancellation of a confirmed booking by the client, the deposit will be retained by the face painter.
If the artist is unavailable to work due to illness or other unforeseen circumstance, and is unable to provide a replacement artist, the deposit and any paid balance will be refunded in full.
Confirmed Bookings
A tentative booking may be made via the booking form or by email exchange.
A tentative booking is only guaranteed to be held for 24 hours from the quote date, during which time payment of the deposit will confirm the booking.
Failure to pay the deposit in this time may result in the tentative booking being cleared and another booking being accepted by the artist.
The minimum event booking will be for two hours.
Payments
A £20 non-refundable deposit is paid at the time of party booking – see the available methods on the booking page.
Some events, such as corporate, will require a 50% deposit, if not paying the balance up front. Please discuss payment schedule/options with the face painter prior to booking.
The final balance (after deduction of the deposit) must be paid by payment link (card) or BACS at least 7 days prior to the event. Alternatively you can pay card or cash on the day of the event. Please request this.
The Event
The artist will arrive at least 15 minutes before the event in order to set up. She will bring her own table and chair.
Please leave a space open as close to the site as possible, or in the driveway, so the artist can unload heavy equipment. Any car park fees must be paid by the client and the artist must be informed of this prior to booking, so it can be added to the balance.
The area for the artist must be at least 2×2 metres, fully sheltered, with flat ground and a wall to back the chair; it must be warm and dry. If you need the artist to bring a gazebo, there is an additional charge and time needed for this. Please make the artist aware of this prior to booking.
If the event is more than 10 miles from Leamington Spa, please note there maybe an additional travel charge; please make the artist aware of this prior to booking.
The client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by the client, clients’ guests and/or pets, and/or any damage to artist’s equipment or supplies caused by the client, clients’ guests and/or pets.
Children should be supervised and, for private parties or events, permission to be face painted gained from parents of any children to be painted.
The artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. Children or adults with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate or have the artist perform a skin test at the beginning of the event.
For safety reasons artists do not normally paint children under the age of 3; this is at their sole discretion and the artist‘s decision is final.
For sanitary reasons the artist will not paint anyone who is or appears to be suffering from any of the following: cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infectious skin condition, eczema or open wounds.
The artist will start working at the time stated and finish working at time stated. A setting up period of 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after is included in the price quoted.
The artist may be able to work longer if desired by the client, but this is at the discretion of the artist. Please be aware they may have additional work assignments to attend to.
The artist can paint around 10-12 standard quality full faces an hour but, please do not expect the artist to stay longer to accommodate more children/adults than stated on the contract. More detailed, or alternatively, ‘fast’ designs may be requested at the time of booking and for these the time per face will differ. Alternatively, you may need to book extra time. Please consult the artist if you wish to follow this route.
